One Century Down
A little boasting, I guess. Hammered out a successful Century Bike Ride last Sunday- The Elephant Rock Century, south of Denver and just north of Colorado Springs. 6' 16" and a pretty decent recovery for 58-years-old. Next one in early August!

Looking on the bright side, I would no longer have to work for a living. Still, I'd rather work to ride!

Good job!
I did a Century a couple of weeks ago but it was one of those Metric/Foreign(like Canada) ones which don't count.

Thanks for all the kind and playful words! Two more planned for this season, so far. One is the Copper Triangle, which climbs three Colorado Rocky Mountain Passes (The Colorado Cyclist Copper Triangle course is a spectacular 78-mile loop cresting three Colorado Mountain passes - Fremont Pass (elevation 11,318’), Tennessee Pass (elevation 10,424’) and Vail Pass (elevation 10,666’). The course passes three ski areas and is littered with historic mining outposts and camp Hale, the training ground for the famous 10th Mountain Division. The total elevation gain for the course is 5,981 ft) Though not a true Century. The other, late summer, will be the Tour of the Valley in Grand Junction, CO. Cloudy, rainy weather up here right now, so I'm back on my bike in the basement, spinning away, doing intervals. Say, had a cousin, long since passed, who was a charter member, I believe, of the L.A. Wheelman. Got his picture on my basement wall as an inspiration. Weekly, he rattled off Century Rides with the club and managed to live well into his 90's! So keep it up out there cyclin' fool! That goes for the rest of you as well! Remember, lots of hydration out there on the road/trail!!!! No bonking!.
