Here's a convoluted birthday ride...

Did my b-day ride of 53.59 miles in 3:19...but check out this route!

https://ridewithgps.com/routes/101529

It looks like a "Where's Waldo" thing.

Happy birthday!

I don't know your area, but on the map that looks like a good local ride.

I'd put it down to a map of the Local drainage system.

But all those straight lines- Hope you got into an Aero position for those long straights.

I forget how some people have to ride in cities and large towns But our towns and cities have a cafe on every corner. So much much weight did you gain with the Pie stops?

Well done but still waiting for the vital facts and pics.

And what happened at waypoint 24? That must have been a good Pie stop-----or you got lost

Outhouse at a construction site...needed to relieve some of my hydration...and it was in the shade so I answered a couple of texts from my kids wishing me a happy birthday,

Guessed it had to be a valid reason. Just can't see a townie getting lost on his own territory.

But if you had cycled faster- you would have sweated out the "Excess" Liquid. So you could have done the ride non-stop.

Great ride though and accomplishment at your age.

Happy Birthday - well done!
That route would drive me crazy, I like the out & back - not the zig-zag

Congrats on finishing the ride. Reminds me of some of the "rides to nowhere" that Fat Cyclist sponsored on his blog as a fundraiser -- people rode centuries on trainers, around parking lots, etc. as part of a national fundraiser.
