53 struck down
Sorry that I haven't been on. Around the last of February I had a stroke. Just recently I had another. The worse part of it is that I can't ride my bike any more. My wife has been helping me a lot and I am slowly getting back somewhat on my feet. I can't see to type so my wife does it for me.
I'll be checking in from time to time.

I'm so sorry to learn of your strokes and wish you a speedy recovery. Once you are up and about find someone with a tandem to get you out.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Geez. I am sorry to hear about that.
I hope the cause is identified, and something can be done to get you back where you should be.

Keep at the recovery process. Find new activities that help you regain your strength and coordination and pay special attention to you wife - thank goodness they are there when we need them.

So sorry to hear about that. I know there is so much more they can do now for stroke recovery. Do you get "stroke smart" it is a neat free magazine with a lot of inspirationial articles and success stories.
We get it because my 80 year old mother had s stroke 2 years ago and I picked up a copy at the hospital and found it online.

Good luck with the rehab. They've come a long way with technology and therapy to combat all kinds of sicknesses. Hang in there and give it your best and you'll beat it.

We bike riders are a tough lot. You'll be back. And thanks for thinking of BF 50+ when you've got plenty else on your mind.

My hope is for a great recovery from an honorary Texan(10 years in Seabrook, TX).
A thought on recovery and cycling. Like the story of the patients with Parkisons and cycling, any one know if even pedaling in a stationary trainer has been used to speed stroke recovery? Seems like a good way to get some motion back but ask the doc first.

Tex-I hate to hear your misfortune but it's great to hear your wife is so supportive. Here's hoping for continued improvement.
