I don't want to set the world on fire...

I just want to start a flame next to my thread title.
Just having some fun with the new forum upgrade. I know, I know, my lyrics don't fit the tune.

What I'm wondering is what qualifies a thread as hot? Is it a certain number of views in a predetermined time span, or based on replies.
I realize this falls squarely in the "who cares" category for most, but no more so than some (so called) reality tv shows.

I did notice the different icons, but I missed the "What these changes mean to you . . ." bit.

Maybe cause it wasn't there, or maybe I'm just being blind. But I did notice!

Huh?

I'm missing something.

Looks like the same old BF to me.

Maybe I'll do a search and see if that's any better.

There's a thread in the Road Forum and the OP got a screen shot of the graphics I'm not seeing.

Interesting...

Is it a cache clearing thing? If you haven't tried that, give it a whirl, since the icons are likely cached on your computer.

It's a browser thing.

My Firefox browser doesn't show the new icons but IE does.

They show up in both Firefox and IE here.

One thing is bugging me about this so called upgrade. Firefox can't seem to remember my log in any more. I have to log in each time.

Forget the flame, has anyone noticed that the little cyclist icon looks suspiciously like a silhouette of A.Jet's avatar?

It was his first internet picture before he got into X rated vids.

You mean the ones where he wears his underpants on top of his bike shorts?

OK, OK, so I know this is gonna sound like... well, I'm not actually sure. But, why fix it if it ain't broken? Not saying I like or dislike the new icons, because I don't really care all that much. I do, however, wonder how it "improves" the site.

So what was the definitive word on flame vs. no flame? I see single page threads w/ flames, and of course 300+ view threads w/ flames...

Here's my contribution, Dan, good luck with that:

Hmmm... nice anti-drafting device. I bet the tour riders are jonesing for that setup. I can see it next year:

Does someone know why some flames are bright orange/yellow and some are gray? It would have been nice if the mods explained what the icons mean.
