How are you training for Black Friday?

Are you fit enough for Black Friday?

Do you have any final training tips: outdoor riding in the cold? Spin classes? Weight lifting? Martial arts?

I was thinking about getting a pat down but opted out.
If it doesn't rain or the rain ends early enough I'll be spending black friday on the bike. Don't need to shop. We've been buying our Christmas gifts for the last 2 months.

From what I have heard of thanksgiving (Not a festival we have over here) 50% of you won't be able to move on Friday- due to Thursday- and the other 50% will be snowed in.

Time to get this holiday changed to August.

We prepared for Black Friday by taking my wife for a shopping outing on her Birthday on red Wednesday (today).

Hey stapfam. Did you know that the Thanksgiving feast ends with pie? Usually pumpkin, sweet potato, mincemeat (a misnomer since it contains no meat), or apple -- at least around here.

As Stapfam says, I start my training tomorrow, lots of turkey lifting & wine glasses and pie - lots of pie.
Actually I will get a 30 mile ride in before the feast and then My friday family tradition is to go out a chop down a tree.

*The 'Fridge' is fully stocked with consumable liquids.
*The nail holes, cracks, and gouges are all filled and sanded.
*The repaired areas are Primered.
*The Gallon of light green latex paint and painting supplies are in the room just waiting.
*The furniture and window treatments will be removed tonight.

Friday will be spent painting my oldest daughters old bedroom, AKA the 'Guest Room'. The color is a light green hence I'm re-naming tomorrow Green Friday!

After that I'm putting the winter wheels and studded snow tires on the bike...they're calling for 'Lake Effect' snow on Sat & Sun and I'm working the Day Shift!!

I encourage my wife to go. Here, in the autumn of my life in the autumn of the year I've relegated my role to "Coach".

If I do any shopping, it will be on-line.

As of an hour ago, we now have pumpkin, apple, and pecan pie, all home-made.

I went for a good bike ride. I'm surfing the net and watching football. I'm getting ready to eat. That should be good training as it's the same thing I'll be doing on Black Friday. You couldn't pay me to go near a store tomorrow.

So the video proposes the rest of the world's economy depends on Americans buying and moving the old stuff to self-storage, eh?

I will have to calculate the calories consumed Thursday and then more than likely ride at least a Metric century to burn it off Friday.

I'm working on "Black Friday" (I'll have the office to myself so I'll be able to get a lot done without interruption). Wife is doing the shopping (her passion, not mine).

Good luck on the commute Lenny.
I got a nice 20 mile ride in today, tomorrow is xmas tree day. Then I start tile work in the kitchen. I do hope to get the first day of the season in on the boards, I need to take my daughter out because the following weekend she will be evaluated for which race group she will be placed in for this season.

Gotta work tomorrow. But my training for it included a walk with the dog and roast turkey with kielbasa stuffing.

I'm told, by my elders, that you haven't lived until you have had a real mincemeat pie. Yes, it does contain meat; the meat is cured in brandy for many months. Of course, every so often the meat goes bad and the folks who eat the pie are the ones found to be no longer living.

Obviously we are communists because we don't believe in black Friday and don't participate.
