Finally! First Ride Outdoors for 2011

Suddenly on St. Patrick's Day the weather has turned beautiful with light winds and temps in the 50s. Took my first ride off the trainer since last year. Felt really good. Went down to the ocean and basked in the sun.

I did as well. Then a beer for St. Patrick. That wouldn't be Richmond Island would it?

That's correct. Also had a beer to celebrate both the day and the ride.

Completed my City loop for the first time - still some lingering snow and ice in the shady spots, but then discovered part of the trail now runs through a construction site. Fencing, loose gravel, mud puddles - my bike is a mess and this isn't going to help my times! A winter of spinning seems to have paid off on the main hill climb though...

I really feel for you all in the cold climates in the winter. You all can feel sorry for me when it gets 115 here in the summer. Todays ride hit in the 90's. Check it out.
