Got a compliment the other day

Out for a ride, stopped at a grocerie store for an energy ba, er Milky Way. A woman who I would judge as being 7 or 8 years my junior, and definitely worth a second glance shouts across the parking lot, " I wish my legs looked that good!". I was speachless. I nodded my head saddled up and rode off; smiling!.

It is good to get a compliment like that from time to time at our ages! Anyways, I participated in a ride of 420 miles a couple of weeks ago and someone came up to me and said they knew I was older than 40 but could not believe how fast I had climbed the steep hills we were engaging. I told the younger people I was proud I had just turned 53 and that I had only been riding a road bike now for 3 months, you should had seen their jaws drop! I did feel good after that one! Keep it up folks!

And you didn't invite her to feel them? You're dead to me! ;-)

I tell people that cycling makes you take much longer showers..... because you can't stop soaping your legs!
