OT: I'm not sleeping well

The bride has an ultrasound scheduled for later today. It seems something is growing or collecting within her abdominal area.

Oh Crap!!!

Bikes: Lectric Xpedition.

Best wishes for a good result.

I woke up with a coughing paroxysm. One Advair treatment and it's a bit better. I intend to fall back asleep reading the rules for randonneuring.

Not trying to be funny but I thought ultrasound was used to detect pregnancy.
I hope everything works out well for you.

I have a sister in law who is an ultrasound technician. From her I have learned that ultrasound has many purposes beyond pregnancy.

When I had my heart ablation, they used ultrasound - actually a portable one - to check things out. The doc told me that I worked out too much, as the muscle blocked the ultrasound, and the picture was not good.

I hope whatever they find is benign and easily dealt with.

Good Luck.

Thank you all for the Well Wishes.

She's severely bloated, Doctor is concerned, no definitive source yet (too much fluid for the Sonogram to be effective beyond actually verifying massive amount of abdominal fluid), so a C.A.T. Scan scheduled for tomorrow.

Fluid is better then solid. Fluid can be drained, solid has to be taken out.

Still pulling for a good outcome.

Tumor found and verified. Too massive to tell what organ(s) is involved, suspect it's an ovary. 25cm x 21cm x 31cm. Holy Crap!! Surgical removal necessary. Seeing oncological gynocologyst tomorrow. We hope he admits her into the hospital and schedules an emergency surgery ASAP. This sucks.
