Post Your Photography
Several of the other forums have a "Post Your Photography" thread. I am going to start this here and hope others will jump in. I love looking at photos other people have taken, and find I get ideas and learn from them.
This is a shot taken from my deck in Dec. 2011 looking east at the sunrise. http://i1220.photobucket.com/albums/...arks/027-1.jpg |

Since you posted a sunset I'll add mine. I took this yesterday at the top of Gates Pass, outside Tucson where my wife and I are now for a week long bike vacation (see the 50+ "Did you ride today" thread for more on that.

A recent trip to Northern California to do some rides around my old stompin' grounds. This is Ridgecrest Boulevard in Marin County, along the section called The Seven Sisters, between Fairfax-Bolinas Road and Mt. Tamalpais. I am told that they film car commercials here, and it's easy to see why!

You can all consider yourselves Mooned! (this shot is from last month shortly after moonrise over Lake Ontario)
http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...1/IMG_0470.jpg This is from last year along the Lake Ontario shore. It has not gotten cold enough to ice up this year, yet. http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...G_1301SX20.jpg http://i143.photobucket.com/albums/r...G_1299SX20.jpg |

Normally threads like this are limited to shots taken from a bicycle, since this one isn't I'll add a couple:
http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...n/A4000574.jpg http://i146.photobucket.com/albums/r...n/A4100630.jpg One summer, one winter, I started off using B&W wet process, processing and printing my own, even though I now use a digital camera, I still prefer B&W... |
Wow! All of those are great shots. You guys are good!

After being a photojournalist for 20 years I realize I don't shoot enough any more, and most of what I do shoot I think of as "really good snapshot" work.

Exiles, twighlight, sunset, eerie by a glass darkly2008, on Flickr In color, this was not too good, but in black and white, it became much more dramatic. http://farm7.staticflickr.com/6057/6...666d7b5f_z.jpg Sudbury River by a glass darkly2008, on Flickr I took this on August 31, 2003. It was quite warm that day. This is the sudbury river in concord. Again, in color it was not that great, but in black and white, with some trial and error playing with the exposure, it got better. |
