So THAT is the guy that came up with the term FRONT fork! (not to be confused with the rear fork?). I think I hate that guy

I guess, since this is the 50+, not so long ago for many - my first bike was a Raleigh just like that. Thanks, Dad!
But in many ways, so long ago and so different. Language, to begin with. Goodness, that was a different time.
And safety practice - 'the frames are now dipped in a bath of special chemicals....' well, I guess it reduced pension payments.
And, I wouldn't want to bet heavily in an arm wrestling bout at the pub in Nottingham with a tyre fitting woman. One a minute, sixty an hour, four hundred and eighty a daily shift, two thousand four hundred a week, nine thousand six hundred a month.
Could squeeze coconuts into the Christmas cake, I dare say.
