Broke One Thousand Miles Today
Didn't begin riding until Apriil this year, just broke 1,000 miles for the season. Not up to what some on this site do, but good for me. Just have to keep it up.

Chapeau. I think 1000 miles since April is great. I have 1750 on the year and I feel like I got a bike glued to my butt.

Excellent. I don't keep track of my overall miles. I chart them just to see what I do weekly but I guess I've never cared enough to add them up. Now I have to go count 'em. Damn you.

We all have different numbers, eh? It's all good. Congrats on breaking 1000 ! The great thing I see, over and over, is how those goals and achievements keep growing for everyone who keeps at it. Time and weather play a huge part so for many people there is a limiting factor on how many miles can be done but for most of us old geezers that are getting back into shape (and for us old clydes in particular) as the weight comes off the miles go up even with the same time available for riding. Congrats again.

Congrats to you on that miles stone. being a new rider myself i had my best month ever since i started riding August of 2009. Just completing this am ride on the 31st of july gave me 700 miles for the month of july. I had ridden every single day the entire month of July at 0430am...Finally after about 3 years now the rear end is starting to get use to the saddle..

No less a milestone for that. I've ridden for over 30 years and last season was the first one I broke a thousand, ending with about 1200. I know it's minuscule compared to lots of others around here, but it was a big deal for me. This year I'm at a little over 1400 so far. So congrats to all of us!

No matter how many miles so far, 500, 1000, etc., good job. The important thing is to ride.

Those nice round milestones do really mean something. I had my first month with over 100 miles/week and our tandem is sneaking up on 10,000 miles. Just broke 1000 miles on my new single bike.
