First 1000 miles
Bought my bike on April 23. Rode it about 5 miles that day, had to stop and rest twice and couldn't make it up the hill to the house. Shockingly saddle sore the next morning.
Well, passed the 1000 mark today (on a rentabike, but I am still counting it...). Dodging travel, have actually managed to hit the milestone.
Now, the goal is another 1000 before wet begins in Oregon. If things go right, might even manage 1500.
A thousand miles used to sound so far. Now my wife is working on her first 1000!

Congrats! When I got back into riding this year, I never thought I'd be able to get to the distance I have. In January I only did a total of 50 miles but I just passed 2,000 miles for the year with July being my best month at 607 miles.
Keep up the riding and you'll be surprised at how fast the miles add up.

I have a question? Since I switched to a trike, does my miles start over? Or, can I count the 650 miles I put on my DF?
Err - Nevermind, I guess we're talking about *yearly* miles, not total since getting back on the pedals...
