Polar Bear plus 40 more
Did another Century today. I think that is 7 weeks in a row....or maybe 8. The first one was the weekend after Thanksgiving. One of the local bike clubs did their annual Polar Bear ride (some were calling it a Solar Bear ride due to the warmer temps). I opted to ride over and back to the start from the house to that added 40 miles to the 100k. Very large turnout. Roads were wet from yesterday's rain and it was pretty foggy when I left the house. The sun didn't come out until about the 95 mile mark of my ride. No complaints on the temperatures though. Supposed to be mid 70's today and tomorrow but it was cool enough today for arm warmers and knee warmers. Got a little warm the last 10 miles but if I stopped I might not have gotten started back.
I definitely have some decent base miles but still need to lose more weight and work on power output. I can ride all day but it ain't purty. I have lost some weight which is good but plenty more to go.
I didn't know how today's ride would go as I had the endoscopy/colonoscopy on Tuesday plus bouts of Afib on Wednesday and Thursday. The only high heart rate I saw today was when I was trying to stay with the lead group on the first few hills!!
I suspect my streak will end with this ride as my wife has told me we're going to my daughter's house next weekend so I can work on her house**********
Saw two riders being carried off in ambulances in separate incidents today. Hope they are okay.

Joe,
take some pics of your rides man! Even better, how about a GPS link? I'd love to see the routes..
i am currently on a streak of about 260 weeks without doing a century! Some day I will have to break that.

Nice. Haven't been able to get the time or a weather window for any decent rides in a month. Seems every time I can get out it snows the day before and the paths/roads all end up iced up. Winter in South Korea is just not bike friendly. I don't care about the cold, but ice just makes riding so sloooowwww.
