I think I'm good for the garage pump, Bill - it's a fairly inexpensive one (about $25 IIRC - don't remember the brand) that has a digital display gauge. I think that one is ok for road-bike pressures. I have a couple of little tiny compact pumps that I think might be a bit challenged, though I should probably try them out before getting something different, but from some research I've done I think it might be difficult to get to full pressure with them. The Topeak Road Morph appears to be highly rated by users, and is probably what I'll go with if the minis I have turn out to be inadequate.
