Deleting pictures and came across this New Years day ride shot. Between the storms from Emeryville looking towards downtown Oakland.

Not my shot but found this in my FB feed as I like old photos. I really like her casual demeanor as she rides bare footed up to the phone booth and settles in comfortably for a long conversation after putting her quarter in the phone.

Dry most of the year and a trickle in a typical rainy season, Tres Pinos Creek is impressive. |
There is a bike path across the top of this dam, about 2 miles long. It connects two very different areas and has access to a network of trails and dirt roads, some of which are now under water.

Not sure why but I find shots of fence lines interesting. It’s about as green as you’ll ever see right now. The upside of all that rain. |

A bit chilly riding to work. 19F without the wind chill |

It hasn't been this green here in years. I checked on some trails on Sunday.

Getting used to seeing E-Bikes in the bike lane..
http://i.imgur.com/5gddhyLl.jpg But I wish they were parked better. Fortunately, traffic was light. |

Rode my bike to South Mountain Sunday.
http://i.imgur.com/7D3DI2al.jpg Threw my chain right down there. http://i.imgur.com/ZPjse0il.jpg The chain was missing a link or two. Of course no chain tool. Walked back a mile to the San Juan Parking Lot. From there it was downhill to Scorpion Gulch. Coasting without pedaling was slower than I thought it would be. Faster than walking. http://i.imgur.com/tNNYBk4l.jpg Called my brother and arranged for him to pick me up there. While waiting I played with the Cactus Wrens. http://i.imgur.com/DIQENfRl.jpg |

we supplied components to a nearby company in the industrial park that was building equipment to produce / machine the castings for the Cat Diesel engine blocks amazing stuff |

View from John Smith Rd. https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/bikefor...2fb6bb7b0.jpeg Interesting plaque that is behind the Paicines general store. I suspect not too many people have seen it. |
I spent a few days last week at Pinnacles National Park in Ogsarg's part of the world. Some hiking, some riding.

http://i.imgur.com/XkJNxv8l.jpg Not actually part of the trail, a shortcut http://i.imgur.com/iHe9RAKl.jpg Seems like this used to be wider. There is about 1" clearance on each side of my handlebars. http://i.imgur.com/ymu9XDql.jpg |
