Beautiful pictures. In the first pic, is that a ski run carved into the trees?

power lines - and / or gas transmission

decades ago we would ride those (on dirt bikes) - down the train tracks until we came to spots like that ... many of those climbs were extra nasty

those train tracks are now converted to rail trail paths

Thanks. It wasn’t as strange as I thought it would be, but my arms got tired. I actually started my PT with the upper body because it was getting less use than my legs.

Saw a young Copperhead on the way back to the car. Snakes like to sun themselves on the trail. Saw a young rattlesnake years ago.

I would be too! I’ve wanted to spend time and hike in Patagonia for many years, and I finally got the chance. It was everything I had hoped for.

Pigeon Point ! One of my most FAV places ! (vantage Point from Pigeon Pt Rd ?) I love staying at the Hostel and getting the Hottub that hangs just over the breakers, for that sunset time - Night time on a clear night (Mostly Full Moon makes it unequaled !!! ) is also incredible ! During COVID days they were only renting out to large groups. Wonder if they have opened again for singles, pairs or small groups.
Highly recommended for anyone doing PCH from SFO to Santa Cruz You an drop down from Skyline to Pescadero, then Bean Hollow comes to PCH, real close Pigeon Point..
Just one of the best place in CA !
Ride On

A lot of different crops are grown in this area but not many flowers. San Juan Bautista area. Fremont peak in the background.
