And yep! Recent snowfall. About a foot and a half at higher elevations and almost a foot from about 7000 feet up. It was wettish snow that stuck to everything and made things REALLY icy the next morning. But it was really beautiful. Here was a look at the Long Valley the next morning. Convict Lake would be right between those two peaks in the center of the frame (Mt Morrison on the left and Laurel Mountain on the right). Mammoth is set to open November 14. For the first year in many years, I am really eager to ski a bit more this year. Heck, I'm mostly retired, and any work I need to do can get done from up there, so why not?
