Such a sweet bike. Are those green water bottles or the color of the electrolyte? Love the color combination.

Thanks. The bottles are green and full of clear water. That was my color coordinated day with the green jersey from Oconee Outfitters (the bike shop where I work part time) and the bottles to match the green WI hubs and Paul brake cable hangers. What a great week of daily long rides on that great Zukas bike with every dimension and every component and accessory selected by me.

Rode a route new to me with a friend this week. Near Loomis WA. 65.4 miles of amazing scenery.

I had to do a double take. Shot the same / similar shot two weeks ago. But not the same location. This one is north of the 49.

I hear the riding around Milledgeville is pretty nice. No? What's out there in terms of group rides?

Let me know if you do come this way. You will be my guest.

Check out Sosbee Cycling Park if you have not already.

On the Cardinal Greenway, in east central Indiana.

This was a Chesapeake & Ohio railway in years gone by, and I learned that the ancient concrete pylons meant how many miles to the railhead beginning, in Cincinnati.

We do have some great roads around Milledgeville. The group ride situation fluctuates. I lead a weekly no drop road ride on Tuesdays at 5:30. We typically ride about 25 miles at 13-14 mph average. There is a good group of faster riders who meet a couple of times a week, but the start time and location changes and they don't post a ride schedule anywhere. The LBS, Oconee Outfitters can put you in contact with them. Other rides are ad hoc and often communicated via the bike club's Facebook group. We host the April Fools Ride in the Spring which shows off some of our best road routes.

We are also a hot spot for gravel/dirt road riding. I lead a weekly Thursday Grind ride and most months a Monthly Grind ride. We are gearing up for the Red Clay Ramble race/recreational gravel event on August 20. Just yesterday, we had several people out riding the different length RCR routes on the July Monthly Grind.

I recently got back from an Adventure Cycling ride; 19 days from South Lake Tahoe to Portland. It was amazing. Here's a photo of my bike above Lake Tahoe from the first riding day.
