For those of you have not met my Blue Max yet. Here: Photo is not really recent, was taken in 2011. So Jim911, hope we've given you some insight
into what us old people ride.

Can't ride an upright bike much any more, too hard on my head. This I can handle, and it carries as much as a Mini Cooper.

The Thunderpiggy link in my sig is my daily rider.
I just got one of these:

And I have a Foldie--and some old Japanese steel in various stages of disrepair.
'77 Ross, made in Allentown PA version.
'85 Centurion
'82 Fuji Grande Tour (or something like that)
I really would like to add a 700c trike to that, but as a cycling Luddite, Im worried I might lose
interest in it shortly after I got it.

My father, who is old, does not ride. But he played tennis, well, into his 70's.
I'm in my 50's. I prefer to ride fast (lightweight, aggressive geometry) road bikes. One of my bikes (sorry, not an actual photo) is shown below.

What is this "old" you speak of?
From yesterday's ride...
My newest project:

Our steed from yesterday:

There are several others ready and waiting to serve, dating from '72 to '87.

14 bikes clutter up this house, counting the piles-of-bits-that-will-eventually-be-a-bike.
This is one I take for shorter, faster rides

As you can see, my bikes are nothing like they were when they wer new and rolling out of the LBS:
1995 Mongoose IBOC, used as a commuter
2006 Trek FX 7.3, converted to drop bar bike and used for road rides and light touring
1977 Schwinn LeTour II single speed in the rear, double ring up front. Also used for flatter road rides
1992 Trek 8000, drop bar conversion.
Also have a Surly Steamroller (2007) and a Gary fisher Marlin MTB (2005?), both are disassemble right now for maintenance.

61 here; my road bike (pre-emptive response: I don't care if it's not "41" legal, it's still a road bike!). Apologies for the lousy pic; oh -- should have removed the hipster-cyst (Knog) on the bars too!
