And the waitress melted on the spot.

No pictures today, they're a royal pain in the you know what.

No chronological ride report either, my rides are repetitive and boring for all but myself.

I did not rule out anecdotes though!

I'm working 40 hour weeks for a while in my position as a relief Courier so my riding is limited to mostly on the weekends. I try to give my bride a good amount of my time also.

Today I slipped out just after breakfast on my Tour Easy with the intention of meeting her for lunch someplace. We do this a lot. I can ride and we can still dine out together, at least as long as her health still allows her to drive her hand control equipped car. I called her once I got to a point where I was about 10 minutes from the Diner that we frequent and informed her as to where I was so she could drive to the Diner and meet me for our lunch.

Arriving first, I secured a table and ordered a coffee for myself and a tall glass of water and a short glass of water from the hostess. Our waitress came up to the table and asked if I was expecting a lot of company for lunch since I had ordered three drinks. I said I was just expecting my bride and proceeded to stick a fistful of fresh picked daisies into the short glass of water.....at which point the waitress melted. My bride arrived a minute or so later, saw the flowers, and smiled. We had a very nice lunch with tons of attention from all the waitresses.

After lunch we left the flowers for June, our waitress. She smiled.

I got in a very leisurely 30 miles for the day. I smiled.

If I tried something like that I would be asked "What have you done Now?"

I remembered our anniversary this year and bought Flowers. The wife asked what the occasion was.

Wow, Lenny that was a fantastic post, your thoughtfulness is heart warming and refreshing in this time of short, throw-away marriages. You just plain Rock.

Nicely done, Lenny. I have to say that I'm with Stap on this one. If I did something like that, my wife would think I did something wrong or I'm wanting something.
