I just carry a mini pump and when I flat I change the tube then just pump it up enough so it feels sort of hard and go. I don't check the pressure or anything as I know its not up to snuff anyway. That gets me through the day fine until I get home and use my floor pump to top it off and patch the tube for next time. Simple and no fuss.
