I NEVER get flats.

There, I said it. I hope that will appease the flat gods that have seen fit to give me flat tires on two different bike out of three rides.
And do you know how much co2 a 29x2 tire takes? More than I had.

Come off it. this is a 29er- the miracle bike that does it all They don't get flats in the normal sense. They lose a bit of air but that is all. I know it only shows in one place but as it is at the bottom- you must be able to use the rest of the tyre to ride home on

wife flatted today. She's pretty much able to fix flats herself. Nice. I can just take a short nap.

I don't mean to get all theological on you, but I fail to see how your utterance will molify the gods of flats.

They prefer blood sacrifices. Goats are OK if you have access to one.

An endo when you're going down a 20% grade at 25 MPH is also acceptable.

A 29x2 tire must run at about 11 psi. Whatsamatter - arms get tired? from pumping?

two 16gram C02 will get you going. You could top off further but two should be sufficient to let you roll along.

I never had flats in all the years I rode in IN/MI/IL.
Then I moved to CO and within 2 weeks had all 4 tires flatted on both bikes.
That was my introduction to goatheads.

Tire liners solved all my problems. Haven't had a flat in a long time. There, I just jinxed myself.

WTF?
Not only is Amazon mislabeling it (it is *not* CO2), but they are charging more than the MSRP of $7.99: https://www.genuineinnovations.com/co2-refills.html

Better price, (but also mislabeled), here: https://www.pricepoint.com/Brand/Genu...-Cartridge.axd

The term jinxed in mild in your statement. We ran Tuffy liners in our tires without a puncture flat. Then one day at a lunch stop in Conshocken I commented to a woman the the use of the liners saved us from flats for 5 years. Averaging about 2,500 miles on each of our bikes per year. We then headed back to the starting point. Going maybe one mile when the wife's rear tire went flat. Pulled the tire and tube. Close inspection showed nothing. Put in the spare tube. She rolled about 20 feet and flat again. Pushed bike 5 miles to the car. At home I found a thin sliver of glass in the tire. Which went right through the Tuffy Liner.
Following week a similar thing with the front tire on my bike.
Moral of the story. Pride cometh before the flat! Possibly. No pride no flats.

That's why I don't put spark plugs in my tires!!

Yeah, as to the price, I don't buy them at Amazon either due to their price. My local LBS sells them at list and keeps them in stock.

For the weak armed - just use the mini-pump to fill the tire to 30 pounds and then use the CO2 to bring up the pressure.

But the new morph pumps are so good, that pumping up to 100 lbs is pretty easy.

Real Bikers use a pump,, Co 2 is for wimps.. get the smallest volume pump you can find for those big wheels,, remember to switch hands often so your arms will develop the same. LOL

My on board pump is about 12 Inches long in the mount, It raises my 29 X 2.10 10 psi for every 50 pumps, so, about 150 ta fix a flat,, a nice sweaty workout,, Good stuff man !

A Co2 user:
Pfffftfttfff,, "Dang,, lost half the air",,, second 12 gram cylinder, Pfffffffft, "Cool got that in",,, 'Dang,,, tires still flat",,, Pffffffffft,, " my last cylinder,,," Dang,, tires still flat",,,,,,,, "Gotta remember ta buy more cylinders"
NOTE : them cylinders take 4,372 years to go back into the environment, go on, fill up those landfills,,, good job

How do you make sure you get three flats a week, evenly spaced out for a proper workout routine?

Yup, with CO2 you run out of cylinders, never heard of a pump running out of air, mind you the operator can run out of pump, but then you just sit for a few minutes to recover, then resume.... Just thinkin' here, suppose you made a cylinder with a valve in it, say a presta like valve, then you make two small units, one attaches to a standard CO2 tank, when you screw the cylinder on, you press a button, it depresses the valve and pumps gas into the cylinder at pressure from the tank, when the cylinder is full, it releases the valve. The inflator could be a simple valve and the trigger is attached to a pin that depresses the valve. Yeah I know a 10lb CO2 tank can fill about 280 cartridges, so you might never get another one.....

I never get flats too, despite commuting daily on 250g Vittoria Corsa Evo SC Tubular Tires. The commute involves extended periods on fine crushed gravel.

Saint Stan's protects me. I still carry a spare tire, and a full-sized frame pump. The pump is within quick reach just in case I have to play polo with critters.

I carry a couple of chicken feet on a silver chain wrapped around my neck for protection.

I merely "thought" that I've been going flat free for 6 months-woohoo! Then I flatted three times on a ride ruined a tire. Flat gods know everything and read your mind! (I can't spell omniscient, or however you spell it.) Weellll, there I cheated and used spell checker.
