Doing the Dare
Today I see my chiropractor, tomorrow I do The Dare, The 8th Annual Dairyland Dare! 100k for me, my second time for this ride. I rode it two years ago, last year it fell on work inventory day and I tried, but couldn't get out of it. This year is a go once again. A claimed 6000'+ of elevation gain for the 100k, will be very challenging for this portly fella. Very well run event, with a party atmosphere. Distances from 50k all the way to 300k. Former pro racer Robbie Ventura leads a group from his Visionquest Coaching crew on the 300k, takes then over 10 hours to finish! If I survive, I'll post about my adventure upon my return home.

Good luck; I'd like to do it next year. I looked at the course profile. That's a lot of climbing for a 100k ride!

Hi Dan,
If you are staying locally, try to join a group of us at the Walker House for dinner tonight. We plan to gather around 6:30.

If you are arriving tomorrow, look for the guy on the 30 year old Serotta, that would be me :-)
