Just resurrecting this thread to let you all know I did it. Rode my age today (actually according to the Garmin, I rode 58+ miles, which is 5 miles past my age today). Did it just within the 2-week window that someone posted; would have done it sooner, but last weekend we were out of town, and on my birthday I was recovering from the day before's ride which for some reason gave me some issues. Didn't quite climb my age x 100 feet in elevation (as someone else posted), though I did get 4100+ feet of climbing in, which is a bit more than I'm used to on my fixed gear. Looking forward to doing it again next year, though maybe on my road bike.
Thanks again,

Ain't gonna happen on my birthday. I ride year round, but when it's below freezing I generally limit the rides to less than 20 miles. Even less when it's subzero.

Rode my age in miles last year - 1st time doing it. Rode my age in milse the weekend before my 65th this year, then partied with family and friends, including all the eating, wine and Strawberry Shortcake from my wife - have to invoke the strawberry shortcake instead of pie exemption!

One other thing. It is as good an excuse as any for N+1

She still wans't happy, and now I have to treat her like it is her birthday for a month.
