New riding buddy

My 32 yr old son asked if I still ride.Sure as much as I can.I'll ride with you today.OK. After setting him up on my spare bike ( he is 3 '' smaller than me)Off we went.We rode for an hour but I noticed the saddle was uncomfortable for him so I cut the the ride short. We are going to do a Tour of Woodbridge in 2 weeks a 30 mile event. He plays rugby but says he wants to do this.Nobody is more surprised than me.I asked him to wear a helmet and he did. Lets see what happens

My 28 year old daughter and her husband are driving out this weekend to ride the VivaBikeVegas Century with me tomorrow. I am so tickled! I can appreciate your joy at having your son join you. Its as good as teaching her to ride her first bike.

Now I need to find a way to slow the son in law down, HE CAN'T DARE BEAT ME!

I'm kinda curious, did you say this to your son half his lifetime ago, or did he just get his driver's license?

It's pretty cool when one of your own wants to go riding with you.

My son and I love riding together, but when he left the army, he stayed in North Carolina and I am in Mid Ohio. So, we don't get to ride together much these days.
