My wife does a very good job of making the bottles with a build up of bottom funk disapear. Except for her favorites. We end up getting replacement, usually for free, on a pretty regular basis, so every time we do an event and bring some new ones home, she culls the old ones.

I'll confess ... when I saw the title of the thread, I was thinking more along these lines.

I'm thinking, move them to the man cave, gather 39 more, fill them with contributions from 10wheels and popeyechan then invite us over to help sing the song.

I think I've got that many in the refrigerator alone -- not really, but it seems like it at times.

I don't understand why you would want to keep that many gimme bottles. I have four nice insulated bottles that I purchased, that actually work. Gimme bottles don't insulate, the bite valve works poorly, and they may or may not fit in the holder without falling out.

Its just a keepsake and collector kind of thing. I used to do it too. Most of the bottles are inexpensive, some of his look like decent types, though, not sure as I am not an expert on Water bottle provenance

Right now I have 3 water bottles. One is a 20 year old spare (gave the other one away). I only have 2 pairs of bottle cage bosses on either bike and red bottles match both. I go through cages much more often than bottles.

You really don't need 60 bottles unless you're fashionably matching colors on 30 different color bikes. But I suspect the OP has heard this before very recently.

^^^ Good old McGuire's Irish Pub, remember going to its original location on Fairfield Drive in the 70's to play darts and end of the quarter class parties with the profs buying a round for us. Good food and be sure you put your dollar bill on the wall after you sign it.

I was able to ride in a couple of their St. Patricks Day bike races after they moved to E. Gregory St. I need to climb up in the attic and see if I can find those old t-shirts. All of my DR's have forbidden me from drinking alcohol, but it's still a great place to work ! tom
