"Thank You" Vid...
I'm posting this vid I made this morning for the following reasons...
1. To thank this site and everyone who's helped me along getting back into things and?...
2. To share some of the rookie level things I've learned in just these past few weeks of re-entering cycling with my 10 year old road bike.
To highlight some of the cooler things I cover in this vid?....
1. To go over some mistakes on looser seats and express my absolute love for my new Specialized Romin Evo Comp Gel Seat as now that this seat is dialed in?...it's more comfortable in my plain, thin, polyester micro-mesh walking shorts than any other seat I rode with padded riding shorts.
2. To brag a little....as I thought it was pretty slick of me to make my final for/aft seat adjustment while wearing non-padded walking shorts so I could better feel what was where...and now with my padded riding shorts on it's remarkably comfortable and feels like I could ride it all day long.
3. To explain why and how I wound up setting my handlebar height 1" higher than the recommended starting point...(and I guess that's why they call it "a starting point")
4. To demonstrate the ease of use of my Zefal toe clips...(which I didn't do a very good job of)
anyways...thanks again everyone...hope you enjoy and Ride Safe! Bill.

Funny thing is?...the basis of our Pastors sermon last night was...
"If you are called to be saved?...the first thing you must realize and accept is that you are lost."
imagine that....I guess that makes God my GPS!

Bikes: Enough bikes...for today!
It's great that you stuck at the saddle issue - there's nothing worse than a sore butt when you've got your mind set on putting in some miles. Plus, now you've sorted out the LBS wheat from the chaff. That's a smart one, measuring your sit bones. Makes me realize that I've never done that, in 45 years of cycling - it is time for me to do it.
Finally, good luck with beating smoking!
