Back in Nov 24’, I got a bike fit for a Pinarello. Based on the data, ended up with a 50cm F7 with 160mm cranks and a zero setback seat post. The sit bone width was 108mm & saddle width 142mm. Over the last nine months, decided that along with a tire change (Pirelli P7 Sport & butyl tubes to Continental GP5000 & TPU tubes), try for a saddle upgrade.

The main complaints were the original Most Lynx Ultra saddle outer skin tended to grab at my shorts and the “wing” shape prevented me from adjusting aft so that going to my handlebar drops feel a little awkward. This is my 1st short nose saddle and I like the feel but wanted to see if there was a way to make micro adjustments to fore or aft positioning.

Researching an upgrade, decided on the Selle Italia Novus Boost saddle with titanium rails. Similar overall dimensions but with a different surface that I hoped would be more to my liking.

The Selle Italia saddle contact surfaces indeed allowed my bib shorts to slide into more easily fore and aft while the different wing shape allowed my pelvis to rotate more forward, making “in the drops” much more comfortable. The Most saddle shape kinda blocked my inner thighs from moving aft making pelvic rotation forward more difficult. One minor adjustment between the saddles is the “tongue” shape. The Most saddle tongue is narrower and drops towards the tip. The Selle Italia saddle tongue is wider and does not drop. The Most saddle allows my scrotum to be supported by my bib shorts only while the Selle Italia saddle provides a “nut sack” shelf.🤣

With a bike saddle being a very personal bike fit component, I think I’ve found my perfect saddle. All the saddles on my other bikes are the old skool long nose types, would you change over?
