which KMC SL chain for Brompton 2-Speed?
Hi guys,
I just changed my gearing from 3 to a 2-speed.
I'm eyeballing a KMC SL chain as it is the lightest I've heard about.
I read, I need a 3/32 inch version - is that correct? There are different versions depending on the gearing. which do I need - there is clearly no 2-speed version
.
And - how many chainlinks are necessary for the Brompton 2-speed?

Yea , a 3/32nd" 5~8 "speed".. don't obsess over weight ,on a chain, it really wont matter ..
As to counting links, You will find that data looking at the Brompton company website.
it depends on the chain ring size you use..

Hmm - the KMC SL seems not available in that measurements - what a pity! You searched for sl » KMC Chain

Weight difference, visually, seems a slot punched in each outer link plate ..
cutter or grinder tool in a lathe can thin a 3/32" thick cog's teeth, if you really lust after the gram shaving..
