Tern link d8 vs Dahon speed p8

Had a crappy Schwinn loop folder awhile back , sold it but had fun with it. I want to get a better folder in the low to mid range. Looking at the Dahon p8 vs the tern link d8. I like the bigger tires and steel frame of the Dahon but the Tern seems to have a better hinge system and comes with fenders and a rack. Can pick up last years 2014 model of both bikes for around 600.00 dollars.
Anybody have either bike? Opinions as to which bike is better bang for my buck.

I have owned two Dahon Speed P8s. I have test ridden the Tern Link D8. IMHO, both are very good bikes. For me, the biggest difference between the two is that the Tern handlepost is a fixed length while the Dahon handlepost is adjustable. I need to be fairly upright, and the Tern handlebars are too low for me. (I am 5'7" tall.) I strongly recommend you test ride both models before making a decision.

you also have to be carefull to get a real 2014 Speed P 8 ( usually in red ) with Big Apples.. the new 2015 ones have a different Schwalbe tire on it.
Than if you like fenders, it is a bear to make the fenders work on the big apples. it will go, but very close tolerances, best if you get some custom fenders, where you have to cut the stays in perfect length yourself to get more clearance ... the original ones are tricky
