After getting burnt by respect bikes I've been looking at other mini velos. Anybody have any experience with Java bikes?

Java isn't going anywhere but if you miss this bid it might take a long time to find another one for sale. If I wouldn't have had two of them it would have been my already.

The Java looks like a deal already has hydraulic brakes but looks like I'd be the guinea 🐷 because nobody has one...

Try to test ride both of the bikes before the auction expires instead of being a guinea. For $200 you can upgrade it with SLX M675/RT66 brakes.

That would be ideal but where am I going to find a U.S Java dealer and no Cannondale dealers in So.Cal carry hooligans already tried that. Is there even a hooligan thread here?

I can say from experience with doppelganger while the frame will be good if heavy, every other part on it will be junk.

Is there a minivelo which isn't a doppelganger in the similar price range when it's new?

Its sold here in Singapore.
Java makes decent folders, though not considered the high end.
(I do have a Java X2 folder)
I've seen this model a few times, paint job looks good and not shabby.
Never heard of people complain about Java stuff, so probably decent.
Personally, I would get one if I didn't already have a Raleigh mini velo (which is poorer quality than this Java )

I've looked at the Java in person and the frame is pretty nice for the money in Thailand. I didn't get to ride it though. My only gripe is it probably can't fit a fat tire. I'm all about fat tires for comfort.

I don't live near a dealer that stocks this bike, but here are some pics. It's supposed to come with 1.2" tires so the seat stays seems wide enough for a 1.5" tire easily, but I think it was the chainstay bridge that might not allow a 1.75-2".
