There is also a team photo of the 4 people who worked to bring the 1st fully automatically welded frame into being, with all the frame parts of that 1st frame in the foreground on a bench. It exists.

Also have you noticed that his kids have no faces, if he even has kids. I'll stake nothing at all on him actually being in Mexico with the fast car and the spanky lady. Those previous posts WERE TRUE. |
Could one of you post the supposed group photo then?
I have not seen that one but I have seen 1 or two of the test frame photos that look strangely "sterile" ( at least to my eyes ). |

I've never seen another 4 person team photo - just the one for xmas. Was this something from a previous year?

From what it seems now, the BIGGEST problem holding Helix back is that they are dependent on contractors for making certain proprietary parts. That’s supposedly what is delaying the test bike (and backer bikes) now. Hopefully in the near future, ALL frame parts will be manufactured in-house. No one will have a problem if stuff like wheels, spokes, tubes, brakes, derailleurs, etc. are imported. However, I’m all for getting frame-sets anyways. I can get my own components. |
Well, it finally happened....bikeforums.net is turning into religiousforums.com.
The intricate conspiracies, nefarious motives, & all the drama of faked moon landing arguments. I just hope I get my bike by early June. I have plans. |
I just got a reply from Helix regarding my question about whether everyone will be getting the Ti seatpost and shot-peening:
The "base spec" has changed during the development process, so all bikes moving forward will receive things like the shot-peening and Ti seatpost. The pre-order and Kickstarter bikes will have the same base specs, the only differences are the optional paid upgrades that were offered when you placed your pre-order; the chain ring, brake rotors, and pedals. |

Two years is NOT weird if you’re starting a new tech bike company from scratch.

The quote is about a thread being weird, not a company. But thanks for playing.
Don’t be bitter just 'cause you didn’t preorder one. You should have played. |

Sure, but if you look closely, you will see that two of the guys could just Peter's body with someone else's head superimposed, the other guy could just be a cleverly lit life sized cardboard cutout wearing Peter's jacket, and the parts could all just be high quality renderings. But I could be proved wrong by Peter and team touring the world to meet each individual member of this forum, backer or no, with the test bike and at least this alleged inert chamber, if not the whole factory on the back of a lorry.

No, I'm quite happy not being strung along by this dude for two years of broken promises on a project that never made sense in the first place. "Here's a super cheap titanium bicycle which is the best folding bike in the world." Yeah.
For a minute there, I thought you were describing Silicon Valley in general. |
In the last update before Christmas, it was said that in the Christmas update there would be pictures of the test bike and also a planning of delivery of the bikes.
Was there any planning announced as promised ? |

Update 12/23/2017: "After contacting the custom parts suppliers, the manufacturing and delivery schedule should be posted next week. :crash: and all through the lands, a sim' of a test bike? But no plan to plan. :( |

And if I'm recalling correctly, one of their movie titles from 2008: The 'x-Files: I Want to Believe. :roflmao2: |

I expect delays.
I expect less communication than I want. I expect progress. So far, I'm getting everything I expected. But the upgrades, eg, shot peening & the TI seatpost....those are a wonderful surprise. Now, if I just get my bike by early June, I'll be happier than a pig in a mud waller. |

I think Ms. spanky lady was meant to be a joke. The name Bobby Sue was part of the lyrics of Take the Money and Run.
