Does anyone know where I can buy a Masi mini velo in the US?

This is probably not the forum to ask this question but many people have mentioned this bike here in this subcategory. Just wondering if anyone knows of a place? Thanks.

You keep harping on this issue of size, when it's been pointed out to you that this 'issue' of yours is a non-issue in Europe. You also engage in a stereotype that all Asians are short. In my personal case, I am shorter than all my male Indonesian in-laws. I am 170cm tall.

In addition, minivelos are not meant to be ultimate performance machines with which perfect fit will result in a yellow jersey or seconds off your time. They are fundamentally urban vehicles for leisurely transport and recreation whose main draw are the agility and acceleration afforded by short wheelbases and small wheels. Style and individuality (as in riding something different) also matters in many cases, including myself. Very few of us actually want to emulate or pretend to be Heinz Stücke.

.

Dumb advice. The overseas shipping for a single special order bike from Asia often costs more than the bike itself, which is why it is rarely if ever done.

I'm 5'10", and all you need to do to get a minivelo to fit a taller person is get a nice seat stem & the correct handlebars and riser.

As for Masi, did you try contacting one of their USA dealers? Here's a list, from their website: Masi Bikes - Dealer Locator

As for the direct purchase, I didn't have any luck locating a bike for you in the USA. All I spotted was on Rakuten for import.

That, sir, is a fantastic suggestion. A few upgrades & it's a spectacular ride!

Or, the Respect Cycles frame set, done custom:. https://respectcycles.com

@shrooms, I don't think there is anything special other than the name, paint scheme and possibly better components. @tds101, I tried contacting some LBS in my area and they don't carry or can't special order it. It seems this is a japan only model. @Fiestbob, I appreciate your input and advice but I'm beginning to think you sell or represent bike friday LOL ;-) @smallwheeler, yes I am considering the mercier and respect cycles bike but I thought I'd give it a shot. If anyone would know where to find this I think the members that frequent this forum would know.
