Brompton Lighting Solutions
I recently got a 2016 Brompton black edition with just reflectors on it. I would not like to install a lighting solution to the front and the back. I would prefer to have a battery based one rather than the dynamo. I came across this one from Helios and it seems to be quite natural and interesting:
Helios - Transform any bike into a smart bike.
Did anyone here try this on your Brompton? I have an M bar and I would like to know if I could install Helios on the M bar of my Brompton. Suggestions welcome!

Also I would not want my bike to have a brain. What if I found my bike was smarter than me?? Bummer!

Those bars/lights won't fit a Brompton due to the built in stem.
Generic lights I've used over the years; can be mounted without fold interference:

You just buy the same handlebar Mounted Headlight as every one else does , then.. [as said above]
Abundant Brand touting favoritism competitions have gone on..
I wont rehash the Commuting and Electronics section threads
But you are welcome to look There.
M bars ? You can use the Vertical part of the bend, for accessory mounts, By clamping on a short stub 90 degrees out from the vertical Tube.
Radiator hose clamp and a section of 1" tubing is a DIY..
Really want that light? You build up a Minivelo around It. starting from the light-bar-stem combo .
You dont like to consider it , but... I use a Hub Dynamo Powered system ...
Schmidt New X Small (V1) [V2 is out and semi Radial spoked]

I really like the Two fish velcro light mount. You can put them on or off in just a second and you can add a couple on the bars at one time. Also you use generic led flashlights that can be as bright as you want. I really like having a pair of 350 lumen basic flashlights on my bars. The duracell flashlights were 3 for $15 at costco with 4 aaa batteries for each light.

IMO I love my Catseye Volt 800 that is mounted on the original Brompton front reflector's mount. It's takes a little bit of very basic "Macguyvering" to do.
Ignore the picture's "metal" mount. Use your original front reflector wire mount - but you'd want to add something like a tiny piece of anti-slip mat to secure the mount.

Done right, it sits snugly and shines where your wheel turns toward. It also does not affect the fold at all and is low enough to avoid shining in other people's eyes. Just a solid light and brilliant solution overall.

I love this light. I particularly love the fact that the spouse will never borrow it because (almost) all of his bikes are carbon or aluminium rather than steel.

I retro Fitted Mine ..
IDK what their parts Pick is .. today .. They were using the B&M Lyt [ narrow beam and urban Be seen, not See By Lumen level]
for their factory assembly efficiency the light was pre wired to a Shimano Plug..
Schmidt XS hub wheel is Much nicer than the Shimano.. # 1) Plugs are more Secure.
B&M , Headlight Eyc T (on a Schmidt stainless Bracket) and tail light Line tech toplight on the M3L reflector Bracket ..
