Is there a way to adjust the pedals or the tires?

Do people not pedal with the balls of their feet? A person would have to have some freakishly long toes to suffer toe overlap. And yeah, I've seen many department store bikes assembled with the forks backwards... derp.

Thanks everyone! My bike does not look like the one in the picture. I think you might all be right in saying that the front fork may be backwards. I took the bike to my vacation home in SC and left it down there for use there. I did go for a ride and didn't have any problem with the toe hitting the tire once I was riding. I am going to go back down in a few weeks and will take a picture then, but I can tell you that the tire is much closer to the pedal than what in posted in the above picture. I found that the chain is totally out of whack and then with the toe hitting I will spend some time on getting everything all set on the bike in July. Thanks again!!
