Brompton no 023
Hi All, have signed up to your forum, to try and find out more about a Brompton with frame number 023, have looked on the Net but it is different to the mk1. There was a picture of mr Ritchie with the same model on pintrest, Brompton have not been much help at the moment. Phil

There was an initial pre-production run of 400 bikes in 1982, these bikes had the hump on the top tube I believe. There was one on eBay a few years back but it got pulled after only a few days. Apparently bike no 018 is held at the Brompton Store in Covent Garden, London.

I gotta say that seat is ugly---normally I really like the look of the Bromptons.

Brompton 023
Hi all,
After some further investigations , we are coming to the conclussion that this Brompton was num 23 of the first batch of 30 ever made. It differs from the one you have kindly put a photo up off , the release for the centre fold is on the other side and has a totally different mechanism, is it possible to put photo's up when your a newbie, and how can i do this. thanks Phil |
