...for local pickup in San Diego.

Some neighbor of mine left a Dahon RV Mate III by the dumpster, so I 'rescued' it. I put a little elbow grease into wiping off the cobwebs, pumping up the tires, dropping some lube here and there, and I was able to do some donuts in the cul-de-sac. But since then it's been sitting on top of my cooler, and the only time it's been touched is to get it out of the way so I can use the cooler.

I'd like my cooler back, and realistically I'm never going to do anything with this bike, so it's FREE for anyone that wants to come to my place and get it.

It seems structurally sound, a little cosmetic rust here and there. The 3-speed shifter is not reliable, I'm not sure if it's just the shift-lever that can't hold its position, or if the IGH itself needs an overhaul. Brake pads and tires are fairly dry and cracked, you'd probably want to replace them.

For somebody who lives near me and is interested, this could be a nice little project bike, or gift for a friend. If you are just gonna flip it on CL, it'd be cool if I could at least get a six of nice craft beer out of it (note: I hate lager)

PM me to claim it, and I'll give you an address and we can settle on a time.

CL is probably the way to go. I just unloaded an old Peugeot with a bent fork that way. I made it clear that it needed work and gave it away hours later.

lol, thx!

Given my extreme ability to procrastinate, I'll probably still have it next time I travel to NYC; I'll bring it as carry-on for you!

(I haven't been in NYC since 2006, and that was just a plane connection at La Guardia)
