Dahon porn

This is a wierd one but I've had it now a few times where I'm browsing the Dahon eu site and while clicking on the site a porn web page opens which I then close and subsequent clicks on the same button do not open a porn web page. It's very strange. Has anyone else had this on the Dahon eu site?

I don't have it happen on any other site, I don't believe my computer has been compromised it only ever happens on the Dahon eu site and not every time. It's almost like the site has been hacked and it only occasionally does this, no doubt as a revenue stream for the hacker.

Has anyone else experienced this? I've had it occur at least 3 times on different days but it only happens once per visit. When it first happened I thought it may have come from another tab that was open but on this occasion there were no other tabs open. The browser I use is Chrome, I use an adblocker that prevents most popups.

Just clicked it and went to a normal Dahom advertising sight.. you might have some porn sites soft ware invading you computer. Did you open any unsolicited e-mails? Roger

I haven't got any porn site software on my computer and have not opened any unsolicited emails honestly. It's purely happening at the Dahon site. It happens randomly when clicking on one of the pages and intermittently and doesn't repeatedly do it. You'd have to click around the Dahon site for a while and then you may get it happen. It's very strange and happens on no other sites. It's like a very subtle hack. This was the link I followed from google that had it happen.

Impossible to say for sure, but the symptoms you describe are characteristic of a virus in the router, rather than the computer itself. You might want to consider resetting the router to factory settings.

I thought of that but its purely the Dahon eu site never any other site. I just thought I'd mention it here and then leave it and see if anyone else comes across it.

I tried virustocheck and urlquery but nothing but then there were warnings that some hacked sites cleverly conceal the hack by only activating under certain conditions. Probably best to play the waiting game and see if anyone else has the problem, might take a while.

I contacted the website mentioning the issue anyway perhaps I'll get a response.

Clear all cookies and your browsing history. If that doesn't work, try with another browser to see if it still happens. If it doesn't, it indicates a problem with your original browser, which I would wipe clean then reinstall. If you are using windows, you need to check registry to make sure all has been deleted before you reinstall.

Your wife is not impressed with your excuse, although she has to admire that you went to the trouble of posting your "problem" to a cycling forum to try to explain away your browsing history 😂

Well I went there again to see if it would happen and it did. Again no other normal sites ever do this at all. There is a delay in rendering the page as if it has been redirected elsewhere and only happens once per visit. Maybe there is some vulnerability on my router that is linked to the Dahon site somehow. This time the page was actually quite tame and this is what I got. It looks ok to post to me being only cartoons and clothed but apologies if it causes anyone any offence. Wish I knew how to work out the referral string maybe that would reveal where its coming from.
