New Pair of Dahons.
Just wanted to take the opportunity to brag and gloat a little. Picked up the pair of these on CL for $100, and the guy offered to meet me halfway. I couldn't pull the cash out of my wallet fast enough.

They're a little dusty and dirty from sitting, but all I needed to do was to look at the chain to tell me that these bikes have very low mileage. The tires are good, brake pads, cables, and all I did was run some lubes on the chains and did minor cable adjustments, and GOOD TO GO! We just had our first ride on them today. This winter I'll fully rebuild them. Such a much better ride than the old-school 16" Raleigh Folders we have. I'll be posting them on Craigslist real soon!

Bikes: Muddyfox Evolve 200, Bicycles4u Paris Explorer, Raleigh Twenty Stowaway, Bickerton California, Saracen Xile, Kona Hoss Deluxe, Vertigo Carnaby, Exodus Havoc, Kona Lanai, Revolution Cuillin Sport, Dawes Kingpin, Bickerton, NSU & Elswick Cosmopolitan
What year are those, the headtube design looks more recent but the transfer designs on the frame look like the original design. Hopefully they are the more decent chromoly folders (most likely) rather than the early more budget high tensile frames. Seems to be a model that evolved over time with better components and higher pricing, so the later the better really. The early models were pretty low end and very budget with heavy frames and very low end tourney freewheels and derailleur no different to other entry level bikes at the time. These look better than those for sure.

The wheels seem to be of good quality, as well as the tires. The rear rim on the one I was riding has a scuff mark over the joint area. This indicates a bulge, which I'll file down and dress when I take the wheels off and true and tension them. Right now you can feel a bump in the brake lever every time the brake is applied and the bulge in the rim goes around.

I'll see if I can determine the year and report on this.

These are my 2 Boardwalks. One was $65 and the other was $0. They are both 2002. If you look around the BB you can find the serial number and year. Good bikes and ride nice. Both of mine have been upgraded to 7 speeds as the original shifters were broken and other parts worn out. Neither was in a nice of condition as yours are. Roger

That wheel doesn't sound particularly good quality and I notice there is no height adjustment on the handlebars as far as I can see. Still an absolute bargain for sure but might need a few quick upgrades. Those wheels look generic low end single wall aluminium rims I'd be tempted to replace that one rim with a double wall rim.

I have a few "sacred rides" of which I will never part with, but danged near everything else is trade fodder. No, I'm not going to put much into these bikes other than a little TLC, spit and polish. Besides, the only folder worth making into a true hotrod is the Raleigh Twenty!

I hear you about the non-adjustable handlebar height. Kind of odd imho, but it is nicely stiff and responsive steering.
