Sturmey-Archer XRFD8 Experience?

Hi guys. I've got a thread up in the Bicycle Mechanics section looking for help with a shifting issue (Linky!) I'm having with my SA XRD8 (old style). Because of the gearing of it, I hear it's better suited to 20" wheels, so I thought I'd come here and see if anyone has any experience with this hub and could help troubleshoot or at least take a few pics for me.

I swapped from a 23t to a 25t rear cog, and I don't think I got it back together right, since it's not returning to 1st when there's any cable tension.

If anyone can help, I've got the link above to the thread.

Thanks heaps!

Took a look at your pics.. you need to go back to basics.. looks like you don't have the shift cable in the cable guide on the hub... looks like you missed when you put it back together.. should make all the difference.
