Has anyone used a Sturmey Archer SRF(w)5 hub gear in their Brompton instead of a 3 or 6 speed hub..or used one in their Dahon ? What did you think of them...

Bikes: Brompton, Dahon Vitesse D5

I've used the non-wide ratio (older) version for years. Generally these hubs run very well. They're a bit grindy in the highest and lowest gears but overall very efficient, and light. For me the gaps in the wide ratio version are too large to be useful unless in a 10 speed Brompton setup.
