Dahon Formula S18 bottom bracket
Hi,
I'm looking for a replacement bottom bracket for my Dahon Formula S18, does anyone have an idea what it uses.
Cheers.
Kelvin

I don't think anyone will know what's been put on your bike. You should look for the model label on the crank arms and bottom bracket cups, check what kind of bottom bracket is installed (square, octalink, or 24mm type spindle) and what kind of spindle it is.

Also, if the crank/BB is the same design as Shimano 24mm spindle, you could measure the width of the BB to see if a Shimano BB is compatible. Shimano road BB for hollowtech has approximately 11.5mm cup width, so it's 11.5+11.5+68= approximately 91mm total width. Shimano MTB cups are approximately 10.5mm, so if you find that you need a narrower BB, you could use MTB cups with a shaved road water sleeve to reduce the width to around 89mm.

Hi Kelvin,
Fellow Formula S18 owner here. Are you using the stock crankset that came with the bike? FYI, that is a Prowheel Ounce crankset.
If so, you can use any Shimano compatible (24mm spindle) British thread, external bearing bottom bracket. I am currently using a Shimano SM-BBR60 on mine.
Hope that helps.
