Ordered Zizzo Forte

Hi folks, newbee here...I am a senior big guy with little space in apt and modest budget...I want a small and durable bike which will handle my weight and size for local mostly on street or sidewalk rides in my small town..The Zizzo Forte seems to fit the bill so I ordered one to try out...I did have a big box cruse bike that someone gave me but it was horrible even after changing out the seat, brakes and cables..so I regifted it to a guy who works on bikes for giving to kids...Hope the Forte works for me even though I may look a little silly riding it around (don't care) as long as I manage it...Also, there is a fairly near rail trail I may visit for just short rides and a prairie nature park with a crushed concrete bike trail...Happy to join this community, please be gentle, I did not have the funds for a three times more Brompton folding bike which everyone loves...next best choice for me...

Welcome Wooki!

It'll take a while to get the fit of your bike right for you.
Saddle, saddle position, grips, and maybe even gearing later on.

Step one: Enjoy the ride.

You probably don't look silly.
You might even get questions about your bike.

Folding bikes are inherently cool

and if someone doesn't think so, the you don't need that negativity in your life.

Stick with the fold.

Bikes: There is always room for one more.

My wife and I have a couple of the entry level Zizzo Ferro's and we have a blast riding them on the trails at our local state parks. The basic bikes work well out of the box and upgrades are easy if we choose to do them. Best of luck with your Forte and I hope you a lot of enjoyment out of it.

You might want to check out ibikeunfolded on u tube. There are a few videos on the Forte. Brian used it to ride to work for most of the winter in Denver. He seems to think it is a worthy bicycle and he has many folders. Good luck with your new Forte. My coworker bought one in March and still hasn't riden it outside. I'm waiting till he sells it to me, not that I need another bicycle but I'm looking for a fat tire folder. I would upgrade the tires to the largest size the Forte would hold maybe 2.3 inches and take it on lite gravel roads. Ride Safe.

Forte first ride...

Received my new Zizzo Forte today and unpacked it and performed the little safety check...Put some air in tires and took my first spin...just around the community center parking lot next to my house and a bit on the road...very fun...Quite windy (as usual) here in Kansas and very hot like most everywhere...Had my helmet and felt like the master of the highway (well maybe not). Lots of potential for fun and exercise but I need to work on steering and a few seat and handlebar adjustments...Will ride better as I lose a bit of weight I'm sure...
