Evolution of “Da Beast”

Upgrades: Deda Metal Blast extensions, gold end plugs, QuadLock phone mount

I like! Great when a rider takes a bike to suit their style.

With the extensions, do you experience some flex in the stem?

My Shaulbe tires are finally wearing out on my Mercier Mini-Velo so I’m looking at those Conti tires to try next.

Thanks, fun ride! With regards to the stem, no flex w/ mini extensions. The pads are for my wrists so, not much force can be exerted on the stem.

Those Continental Sport Contact aren't very good, I would advice to use the newest Continental Contact Urban that are faster, stronger and last longer.

I’ve got the Urbans on my other folder (Dahon Mu). They ride smoother & are durable but the Sports on this bike are a better fit on the slimmer profile of the Velocity rims (much more aero). Thanks for the input though.

Saddle side story

Involved in a somewhat serious collision @ the end of a workout ride during the pandemic. As you can see, my ass tweaked to hell my original saddle. They didn’t have a replacement in black so, settled for a grey of the same model.
