Used Zizzo Via vs New/Refurb Zizzo Liberte

Ok....so there's someone close buy who is selling a used Via for $150.

Pros: It's $320 less than a new liberte so if I don't like it, I probably won't lose much.

Cons: 4 pounds Heavier than Liberte, 1 less gear (It's hilly where I live), Don't like the baby Blue color (looks light blue in pictures)

I'm in reasonably good shape and can get up the steep hills I have with an 8 speed City bike (Raleigh Commuter, 30 lb IGH) so maybe the 4 lbs and one less gear won't matter.

What say you guys? Anyone own both a Liberte and one of the heavier 7 speed models?

Bikes: There is always room for one more.

I ride the heaviest Zizzo available at 30 lbs. With 20 inch wheels, it will climb a wall.

Yeah I think the Public Bikes V9, although 9 gears had 31 gear inches. The via is 34. Not sure how much difference that will make

30ish gear-inches is not particularly low.

It's not. But low enough for me. And the hills I ride

Bikes: Serial bike flipper

If you've never ridden a folder and just want to see how it works for you, try the cheap one. Resale is terrible if you buy the Liberte and decide you don't like it, but you could basically ride the Via for free.

Well I made a 90 minute round trip to look at it. It was sitting outside at a trailer, hillbilly compound with mounds of old trucks, junk, rusty piles of stuff. No idea where this old lady got it. She assured me it was fine, but it wasn't. Two flat tires that I couldn't pump up with my pump. So no way to know if there weren't other issues.

However, there is an Urbano I can get access to. I offered $150 and haven't gotten a response. Asking price is $200. Should I just offer $200? Truthfully I like the colors better. I like the 8 speeds. I like that is only 1 pound heavier than the Liberte AND it doesn't look like it's been kept in a hoarder's boneyard. But is $200 to much?

I just got home from picking up a NOS, box never opened, EuroMini (before it became Zizzo) Urbano. I only looked inside the shipping carton but haven't unboxed it yet. The shipping label is dated 19 December 2017. Asking price was $275. I offered $200 and the sellers accepted as they just wanted it out of their basement. I'm very happy with that price. I may start a thread on it when I unbox it.
