Couldn't get my cheap chain guide to fit that fat downtube, so I ordered a thick/thin 48T chainring. I wanted to lower it anyway, and noticed a couple of brands (Citizen, Zizzo) already spec'ing a 48, which is fine for a low power rider like me.

The new chainring worked like a champ for chain retention, which was the primary impetus.
