Oh please all-knowing people out there, tell me is there a way to buy a Gobike in the US?

Thanks,

Bikes: 2003 KHS F20-Westwood folding & enough parts to make several more bikes...

There was a GoBike for sale on the Toronto Bike Network bulletin board.
https://tbn.ca/cgi-bin/wwwthreads/sho...age=0&Limit=25

If the link doesn't work, got to https://www.tbn.ca, navigate to the buy/sell message board and "search" for "GoBike" and/or "folding" to turn it up.

Good luck!

Hi Guys

Just bear in mind that there are no accessories available yet. No after sales service, no replies to e-mails & it's a product that really needs money spending on it to bring it up to scratch.
I love the look of it, but some of the components are not best suited.
Mine is in Kinetics in Glasgow being sorted, Speed-drive, Rohloff, Hope hydraulics, Schwalbe Marathon tyres, 32 spoke front wheel etc. etc. Should be back in 2 weeks, will keep you posted.

WOW Chop, that's an awesome list of upgrades, can't wait to see how it is after that extreme make-over.

My Giant Halfway RS is getting ready to go to the operating room as well. It is getting new seat, new Speed Hub (dual drive) with new cassette (megarange), new derailleur, new shifter, new front lights, rear rack, front bag and some reflective stickers. Big holiday in the US now, so everything is on hold until next week.

As soon as you get you bike back, make sure you take lots of pictures.

Miaow!!! If necessary, maybe I will, but Ben @ Kinetics tells me that he has treated several other bikes to this combination. On my Birdy a larger front ring was needed to give me the necessary higher gears, this isn't possible on a GoBike as the rear swing-arm curves (closely) over the the front ring leaving no room for more teeth. The Birdy (after treatment) could cope with even the steepest of our Welsh hills with a fully laden trailer and still have plenty of top end power. No point in having 14 speeds that are all too low, as I see it!
I finally had enough when my derailleur jammed again snapping the chain. Once the Rohloff's fitted the front wheel can be 32 spoke (same as rear), as supplied, it's 16 spoke to allow the derailleur to fit in the spoke gap when folding.
Get it back in about 2 weeks!
