I wouldn't really call it the worst of Craigslist, because it looks more like the guy is trying to find his bike. It says that this guy would be grateful for any information on relocating the bike, so it probably means that he's not the thief. If anything, this fellow's only trying to find his bike that was stolen, and is offering up a hundred bucks as a reward.

"Worst" was referring to bike-thievery.

That's cool (10 years ago BF): but strangely, a lot of their prices aren't really that different. I think base models then at $595, now at $895. Amazing seeing just how many product lines they had back then, too.

Having a 2.75" travel shock on a bike designed for a .5" shock makes the total travel of the bike 8.5" in the rear, while the original fork remains. This gives you a feeling that you are floating over the front of the bike. Riding this bike down a hill will cause you to reexamine your faith in humanity.

It's awesome.

Go slowly when you first pick up this bike. Otherwise, you might

1) Die
2) Want to die

I just saw this bike in NYC CL via my RSS reader... by the time I clicked through to the original CL ad, it was deleted. I wonder who snatched this one up?
Bike that folds (Gramercy) $175
My son has left NYC to practice medicine overseas!! Unfortuniately, he left a lot of useless items in our apartment. My husband and myself need the room!!

I understand that this is a bike that is English in design, and apparently folds up. I think it is called a Prompton Folding Bicycle. I'm not sure how to get it to look like a regular bike, but I guess with a little work, it does. I believe my son bought this bike 2 or 3 years ago. It is a very pleasant colour of green. Looking for a quick sale. Thank You
I wouldn't mind a 'Prompton' for $175!!!

Sounds like the early days of Japanese knock-offs (the 1950's) when the copied products carried names similar to, but slightly different than the originals....or it just might have be a Brompton? Will we ever know?
