Riding a bike is always fun for me, I just hope more people take up the hobby out of that than fear...
Update on importing Flamingos:

I received an email from the Grace Gallant company referring me to their export agent. The export agent a lady called Jane Hsu says they already have an exclusive agency deal with Merc for Flaming bikes in the UK. She also sent details of the Nexus 7 speed. Apparantly, because of long delivery times from Shimano, the mimumum time for order fulfillment is 75 days from receipt of the order. The minimum export quantity is 220 bikes.... Outa my league. Even I don't like the look of the Flamingo enough to buy 220 of them.

Like I've been saying, the Merc is just a re-badged Flamingo 3 speed. The agent confirmed that Mercs are the model FL-BP02-3. The Shimano one is FL-BP02-7.

If you want to try to buy in the States or want to import them yourself the agent's details are

Jane Hsu solar.wheel@msa.hinet.

Ahhhh ... because there is no importer here in the US, they are willing to sell one direct to the US.

I'd like to know the shipper....I have never paid less than $300 for shipping a bike from the Far East to the USA....this is an amazing deal.

Thanks,
