Dahon - Remove V-Brake Bosses

Considering some mods to my Dahon Helios and I am wondering if it is possible to remove the v-brake bosses? Sounds like these things just screw in place.. so in theory they should be able to UNscrew (and then you would fill the holes with brake boss plugs for cosmetics...)

Or are the Dahon v-brake bosses permanently fixed in place? (i.e. welded etc)

Thanks!

Bikes: not as many but still too many

Can you say grinder? Grinder,I knew you could.Saying Grinder makes me feel special.Does it make you feel special? It's a bit chilly I should put on a sweater.Sorry, Channelling Mr Rogers. You may be able to grind them off. Get on Dahon Forums and ask tech.

Why remove if grinding is needed? I`we been thinking of using them to support a small rack to support the bottom of a front mounted bag or just a "back pack" hanging from the handlebars.
